Isaac Rondon, Ph.D.

Vice President, Antibody Engineering

Isaac Rondon is the VP of Antibody Engineering at EpiBiologics. Isaac is a senior research leader with extensive experience in discovery and development of biologics who has demonstrated the ability to improve or develop novel platforms and efficient workflows. Prior to joining EpiBiologics, Isaac served as Vice President of Antibody Discovery at Gritstone bio where he oversaw the discovery and engineering of T cell targeting antibodies to peptide-HLA complexes. Prior to Gritstone bio, he served as Senior Director at the Center for Therapeutic Innovation (CTI) San Francisco, Pfizer Inc. where he established a technology group to support the discovery and development of biotherapeutic programs. Before Pfizer, Isaac was the Director of Genetic Engineering at Xoma Corp., where he designed and engineered naive antibody phage display libraries and developed a novel yeast / mammalian cell surface display platform. Isaac held Director level positions at Catalyst Biosciences, Kalobios and Dyax where he contributed to technology platform development and the discovery of therapeutic antibodies. Isaac earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Tulane Medical School and did his postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School.
