We are a cutting-edge start-up biotechnology company developing the next generation of therapeutic bispecific antibodies focused on extracellular protein degradation. We are seeking a temporary scientist level contractor to join our mass spec team starting in August. The candidate will apply state-of-the-art mass spectrometry to characterize protein therapeutics as well as analyze complex biological samples in proteomics studies.
In this role you will be involved in multidisciplinary collaborations with other teams including protein science, biology, and translational sciences, to support the research and development of novel therapeutic bispecific antibodies.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
Operate and maintain Orbitrap mass spectrometer and HPLC
Characterize antibody therapeutics using mass spec, including intact mass measurement, bispecific antibody chain pairing analysis, N-glycosylation analysis and PTM profiling through peptide mapping
Assist with proteomics experiments from study design, sample preparation to data analysis to understand the mechanism of action for novel therapeutic drugs
Maintain detailed experimental record
Communicate and collaborate across a diverse interdisciplinary team
Required Education / Experience and Skills:
BS degree required
Must be able to work onsite daily
Experience with independent operation and maintenance of Orbitrap mass spectrometer and HPLC
In depth knowledge and extensive hands-on industrial experience with intact mass measurement, subunit analysis, peptide mapping, and N-glycosylation profiling
Strong understanding of antibody sequence liability and data interpretation in forced degradation samples
Experience with Xcalibur, Qual Browser, BioPharma finder and Byos is preferred
Experience with bispecific antibody and ADC is preferred
